Interfaces

The Credit Risk Rating Platform offers several interfaces to connect to banks internal applications as well as external data sources. The Rating Database is used for the storage and Basel II-compliant historization of credit risk ratings.

Rating Database

Rating results in conjunction with the data used to derive the ratings are collected and stored in the Rating Database. Besides the key data, there are various meta-data elements stored in the Rating Database such as the rating timestamp, the credit analyst and the rating model used. All data is stored in a relational database and can used for ongoing risk reporting purposes.

Interfaces

The Credit Risk Rating Platform may be bi-directionally connected to internal and external third-party systems. Each rating is based on a certain set of data depending on the risk parameter to be determined (e.g. obligor default risk, transaction-specific risks). The following data elements are common input factors:

•    Loan Data
•    Obligor Data (e.g. financial statements)
•    Facility Data
•    Default Data

Besides the integration of a bank’s internal applications, the Credit Risk Rating Platform can be connected to external data sources. Thus, information from data providers (e.g. Dun & Bradstreet, Bureau van Dijk) and rating agencies (e.g. Moody’s, Standard & Poors) can be flexibly used within the rating process.
